I'm worried this may jeopardize everything for me. If everyone were given enough time to reasonably solve whatever the challenge is - the value of the assessment would be trash. I barely got through half of the questions. but still hurt my self esteem lolI never knew how I placed after taking the revelian Cognitive exam, however, I felt like it sucked because I didnt think fast enough on certain things. Half of them are more puzzley, half are simple math but it comes screaming at you ( your number is -60, you have 5 seconds to click which of -15*-4, 120/4*-2, and 180/-4*-2 are equal to that. 6 or 10 minutes each, for about 35 questions. I just did Revelian test for a small start-up company job application.
I've read some horror stories, and I know that isn't a great way to prepare, but I am making this post to ask if anyone has taken the game-based test and did poorly but managed to go forward with their application? my experience was that I didnt finish all of the games but they were fairly easy. Also I didn’t get 100% on all the games and some I would say I did poorly but I still made it through after playing most of the games to about 80-90% with some like 60%You can actually go to the revelian website and see short gifs of each test along with an explanation.
The idea is that the person who can do so quickly and maintain accuracy is more likely to perform better under pressure without the company assuming a lot of risk when "sht gets real".But in the REAL WORLD, on the job, you will have ample time to solve challenges.

Because there is nothing we are given that we couldn't solve with enough time (say if we were given 5 minutes per question instead of like 1min or 4 min to answer as many challenges as possible).IBM is looking for people who can do make that logical connection faster than someone else - while realizing that anyone can solve the problem itself with enough time.
